‘Victorious’ is a motorcycle inspired photography exhibition held at Sydney’s M2 Gallery, and hosted by Sol Invictus Motorcycle Co.
The exhibition brings together the works of some of Australia’s most influential motorcycle photographers, showcasing the work of Cole Bennetts, Cam Elkins from Stories of Bike, Kate Disher-Quill Photographer, Heleana Genaus from In Venus Veritas and Billy Zammit.
After having worked in marketing for most of his career, Cam Elkins only recently made a decision to focus film making, which had been a hobby for the last 5 years.
After two hears from having made the switch Cam has earned multiple awards across international web and film festivals with his “Stories of Bike” short film series, including Outstanding Direction and Outstanding Editing in a Reality Series at the LA WebFest (the largest web series festival in the world) in April this year.
Kate Disher-Quill is an award winning Sydney-based photographer working primarily in portraiture, lifestyle and documentary photography. with a strong focus on visual storytelling, she often incorporates film and multimedia as another dimension to her projects.
Most recently she has been working on her ongoing project ‘Right Hear, Right Now’ for which she was awarded the 2014 Pool Grant.
Heleana Genaus is the editor of In Venus Veritas & co-founder of Rising Sun Workshop. She has been a photographer for over ten years working in everything from street press to portraiture and is well exhibited.
Today Heleana uses her photography to offer and alternative to the saturation of content of men and women in gasoline culture. She captures the real faces, particularly of women which offers insight into the choices the make in pursuit of the lifestyle on two wheels.
Since 2006, Cole Bennets has carved a niche for himself as a versitile photographer of music, politics, news, fashion, food and fine art. Represented by Getty Images, his work has been published in magazines and news papers across the globe.
Over the past 12 months, Cole has worked with Fairfax as a photojournalist as well as becoming one of the country’s most prolific music photographers, regularly touring with some of the biggest names in the country.
Billy zammit is a photographer & videographer currently residing in Sydney, Australia. Billy has been taking photographs professionally now for two years and has built an extensive portfolio ranging from shots of live events & music performances to commercial advertisements.
Billy’s passion and unrelenting drive for photography has lead him to produce some widely appreciated shots and bodies of work.
